Digitech GNX3000 – oprava

I didn't quite give up on the multi-effect that came to me broken and rebuilt:

I. Oprava enkoderov

1. Control phase: Test if the broken encoders (what's left of them) work or not.
I made such mallets from hard wood and cut them into the shape of the holes like those in the broken three encoders. The result of the test = they are ok on the flats and they work with inserted chopsticks. If I manage to come up with an axis that will fit into those holes and, on the other hand, into the knobs as they are placed on the multi-effect (Marshall knobs), then it will be a fine solution when it turned out the way it did.

2. Encoder repair phase: Production of metal prostheses for broken axles.
I measured the shape and depth of the holes for the broken encoders, and by hand and quite laboriously I made new metal "prostheses" from the shafts of the old potentiometers.

I inserted the manufactured prostheses into the holes of the respective encoders:

II. Kontrola zdroja – dorábaného

Na tomto multiefekte bola dorábaná celá vstupná časť napájacieho zdroja. Pôvdný zdroj nemol moc šetrne otvorený pri oprave a tak je polepený len tak leda bolo. V tejto časti opravy sa pokúsim problematické miesta a celkový vzhľad adaptéru vylepšiť. Pôvodný stav a vzhľad prerábaného zdroja:

Pokračovanie v opravách a vylaďovaní GNX3000

Je február 2023 a domov prišiel môj kamarát a dlhoročný kolega s kapely PROJEKT Jarino. Popri všeličom inom sme sa dohodli, že oh ten GNX3000 ešte dostane do vyššieho levelu. A tak sme sa do toho pustili. Pretestovali sme komplet mašinu, bolo treba lepiť a opravovať nožné switche (aj spínače), skoro komplet dotykové mikrospínače, encodery, nejaké jacky a konektory, nová krabica na zdroj a bolo toho viac. Aktuálne je to v takomto štádiu (čakáme na gombíky na nové potenciometre (encodery):
